In extensive conversations, Ralph has invited me to investigate and identify the motives, ideas, and assumptions from which I work. In consultation, he selects and peels off layers to gain insight into your actions.
Always search for the red line that best defines the work and your individuality. It is a beautiful journey with an outcome that gives direction.

Ralph has a specific 'funnel' approach in which he strives to help you find the content of your work. What is your story, what is the red line in your story, and what is the theme that you choose to tell your story? The technique and how you present your story come later. We are often inclined to show the trick, the technique because this often appeals the most (others). To make work that someone else likes, but doesn't suit you. In six sessions of 1.5 hours, I got closer to the core of what I wanted to show myself. Improve the presentation in the form of a website. where Ralph gives very useful tips on how to shape that. A must for anyone who wants to progress as a visual artist.
M. Swets
I was searching for the underlying values of my artistry. Where to search and where to find it? In myself, it is obvious, but oh so hard to unlock. The coaching process helped me to get to the core of myself. Get the power and values clear, and summarize them in valuable images.

Ralph is truly passionate about giving deep insights into art and encouraging artists to be themselves. Through the session with him, I have discovered many things which I normally would have ignored. Thanks to his positiveness and open-minded guidance, it became clear to me.

Ralph de Lange knows how to inspire. He communicates and works innovatively. Through conversations and images, insight is made into where the artist stands. His way of working is a composition of great passion, competence, and involvement.

Ralph de Lange is an art coach who first asks and then tells. After he knew where my interests were, he encouraged me to develop my style. He brought a focus to my work. Before that, I did everything, copied other art styles, and was afraid to experiment. After the needed sessions, I dared to let go of everything, and I discovered a style and concept that was hidden in me.

Through art contemplative conversations about my work, I get a better picture of why I make art, and what it is about. I discover which artists inspire me and where I stand as an artist. By asking confronting questions, it becomes clear what I am doing and I can always make better choices that bring my work to a higher level.
W. van der Beek
Ralph observes exceptionally sharply and is honest and knowledgeable. He intuitively sees what you conceal consciously or unconsciously. Because Ralph asks many questions and does not settle for easy answers, it gradually comes to the surface of what it is about. That is a process, not a panacea, it requires commitment from both sides and the willingness to search and to search more. That is why it is valuable. Ralph delivers new insights that do not just come around, but are acquired, and therefore become part of who you are and what you stand for as an artist.
A. Groot Koerkamp
Ralph has a lot of knowledge about art and diverse knowledge of art movements. He is bold and humorous. The question is always focused on the essence of your work. The experience as a mentor is noticeable. Art is always explained and to be discussed in clear language.
I helped people in the arts to get to the places they want to grow further
Whom I worked with in the last 30 years:
N. Kensmill. She started the Free Drawing Art academy when she was 18 years old. I taught her for two years after which she enrolled into the Rietveld Academy. After this art school, she went to the Ateliers, a master study in the arts. When she completed this list of studies she made her first solo exhibition at Gallery Paul Andriesse, group exhibitions all over the Netherlands and sold artworks all over the world. She took part in the most prestigious art fair; the Art Basel. Lectures and catalogs complete her c.v. I personally helped Natasja to set her first goals towards her own path and her individual way of expressing.
L. Zwijsen worked with a lot of teachers and schools after she enrolled in the MIXacademy. After three years of intensive study, she got her degree and started her own studio. She had several exhibitions, made it on t.v. Sold a lot of artworks and has found, through the MIX method, her own expressive way of telling her story in a broad manner of success.
L. Linden is now working on the professional way of running a studio. After a year of intensive coaching, I coached him towards his own original and individual style with the completion of enrollment in a master study in Amsterdam. I helped him with the content of his artwork towards a fully understandable way of expressing himself and a method of art making which is parallel to his expressive way of painting. He is now starting his career towards top galleries, national and international.
