LEGACY METHOD

The history of the Amsterdam art academy started in 1968 with the name VRIJE TEKEN AKADEMIE by Harry Mesker.

In the year 1998, Ralph de Lange took over the academy and changed the name to AMSTERDAMSE VRIJE KUNST AKADEMIE.

In 2004 the academy shifted its study curriculum to the M-I-X method. The MIX academy name started in 2004 and ended in 2012, with the practical academy formula in the center of Amsterdam.

From that time on, 2012 until 2023, the MIX METHOD spread its wings and turned its offer to other academies. Now, this method is taught all over the world. From Amsterdam to Zwolle, Haarlem, the Hague to Valetta, Munich, San Fransisco, Taiwan. Teach the know-how about more authentic ways of making art to artists all over the world.

From 2018 the course is offered online to the artist. In 2020 Ralph turned his knowledge about originality in the arts into an online course called Master your art, the MYA method!
